Brindis Private Club was born in 2021 in a little village from the north of Spain. Everything started with our group of friends, we use to made skate videos, surfing and painting, purely for fun, same as now.
We were always very interested in design, lettering, graphics… so we started making a couple of clothes just for us. That slowly motivated us to keep making more stuff. Nowadays, one of my favorite part of all this is just to get all our best friends together again, since it gets harder every year — I imagine it happens to all of you.
About the name... “Brindis” means ''Toast'', in the past making a toast was referred to an act of peace, since people were killed by poisoning cups, and when clinking glasses, drops from each cup would mix, proving that neither of them was poisoned.
But anyway, putting that aside, we chose it as a joke — “brindar” is simply a good moment among friends.
In the design side of things, we try to create different shit, new proportions and unexpected colors. A big source of inspiration for us is walking through the streets looking at old signs, where we steal old letterings and graphics that we reformulate and develop until we get what we want, . Graffiti has given us a lot , probably we would never been interested in making new letterings and combining colors without it, we probably wouldn’t have done any of this, also bring us a lot of problem but that's life.
Regarding photography, it’s something we’re more and more motivated by. Normally all the models are our friends, so doing the shootings is very special, we’ve actually seen very good results lately. All our photos are taken with analog cameras or Polaroids, we have to thank our photographer and team skater Javier de Diego — you can see them in our lookbook. On the other hand, the part of creating videos is something we’re very interested in. We’ve made a couple of videos with little acting scenes between us; it’s very fun to do although complex, especially with our budget. We also have to thank Antonio Llaneza, who is a very important piece of this.
One of the best parts of all this, is making events and meet all us together, talk, play good music, and that's all. We try to be more in the real life and less in the social media.
